Day 18

#LightTheWorld Day 18 – Jesus Honored the Sabbath

Today’s “Light the World” initiative was another one of those challenges that wasn’t all that difficult, but I could immediately feel its impact on my family and me. And it wasn’t anything that big at all.

  • Today, we put down all of our electronic devices, including cell phones, tablets, computers, TV, Xbox, whatever, and focused on each other for a few hours.

Like I said, it wasn’t anything that big, but it made a difference for our family. We had decided to go three hours without our devices, but we ended up going the whole time after church until we called my parents later in the evening.

Today was also mine and Summer’s sixth anniversary. Since it was a Sunday, we celebreated early by going to the Forgotten Carols (which I wrote about here), and went out to eat yesterday as a family. It was fun to disconnect with the world around us and just be together tonight.
