This Shadowed Beast

In shadows deep, a nameless specter forms,
A shapeless dread that haunts both night and day,
Its touch, like ice, enshrouds in chilling storms,
A constant fear that leads my heart astray.

With whispered doubts, it sows the seeds of woe,
A phantom, lurking in the mind’s abyss,
It rends my peace, and where my hopes should grow,
It binds my soul with chains of dark distress.

In daylight’s glare, it hides in plainest sight,
This shadowed beast that feeds on inner strife,
Yet I shall strive to conquer with my might,
To find the strength to carve a hopeful life.

Though nameless, fierce, and veiled in mystery,
I’ll face this foe and set my spirit free.
