Girl Dad

Upon this stage, I play my father’s part,
A role of love and tender, boundless care,
For in my arms, I hold a precious heart,
A daughter’s grace, a joy beyond compare.

She wears a crown of innocence so bright,
Her laughter, like the sweetest serenade,
In her, I find my purpose and my light,
A bond so strong, by destiny’s cascade.

Her eyes, bluer than a clear, cloudless sky,
Reflect a world of wonder pure and true,
And as the days and years swiftly pass by,
I’ll guide her with a love that will renew.

To be a girl dad is a gift divine,
To her, my heart, my love, my soul resign.
