In Motherhood

In watching thee, a mother’s gentle care,
My love for thee, my dearest, doth increase,
As thou with grace, our children’s burdens bear,
Thy love and strength, they both in thee release.

Thy tender touch, a soothing balm to them,
In every tear, a kiss to heal their strife,
Thy wisdom guides them through life’s shifting gem,
Thou art the compass in their youthful life.

In motherhood, thy beauty brightly shines,
A love unbound, an endless, ceaseless sea,
For in thy love, a truth of rare confines,
My heart’s bound deeper in its love for thee.

So in thy nurturing, I find my core,
A love for thee, my dearest, evermore.
