Siren’s Call

The waves advance, the waves retreat,
Upon the shore where horizons meet.
With each crest and trough, the ocean sings,
Tales of time and ephemeral things.

The sun ascends, casting golden hue,
On waters deep, of cobalt blue.
Yet, as day turns to shadowed night,
The moon takes charge with silvery light.

Fishermen cast, with hopes held high,
While gulls above the shoreline fly.
But as the dusk cloaks sea and sand,
They return home, leaving footprints on the land.

Boats set sail, seeking fortune’s grace,
Chasing dreams in the vast sea’s embrace.
Yet, all must heed the siren’s call,
To the harbor safe, as night befalls.

The ocean vast, with mysteries deep,
Holds tales of those it’s chosen to keep.
Life ebbs and flows, just as the tide,
In its rhythm, we all must confide.

For in the dance of sea and shore,
Lies the truth of life, forevermore.
The cycle unending, birth to fall,
The ocean, a mirror to the journey of all.
