Advanced Academic Publishing, LLC., or AAP, is a digital publisher that aims to facilitate publication of open-access academic journals. AAP provides simple design templates for open-access, peer-reviewed digital journals, can digitally publish manuscripts and journal issues, and assists with obtaining an ISSN.
AAP believes firmly in the open-access publishing model for scholarly communication, prioritizing free and open online access to knowledge where there are no financial, legal, or technical barriers of accessibility. Every journal published by AAP is a fully open-access journal.
Currently, there are three journals published by AAP: the Utah Journal of Communication (UJOC), the International Journal of Sport Administration & Management (JSAM), and the Interdisciplinary Annual for Student Research (IASR).
The UJOC is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal for scholars in the diverse field of communication. The UJOC seeks to:
- efficiently and promptly publish rigorous, accessible, and informing material that will help communication scholars and professionals in their daily work, lifelong learning, and career development,
- be at the forefront of debate and discussion of communication topics,
- be among the most influential and widely read communication journals in the intermountain west.
While articles by scholars living in Utah, as well as articles covering topics particularly relevant to the state of Utah are especially welcome, all are encouraged to submit their work. Manuscripts from academics, professors, doctoral candidates, and masters candidates will receive full consideration regardless of any Utah connection.
The JSAM is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal for scholars actively studying sports in an academic setting. The JSAM includes sports-related scholarship from the diverse fields of administration, communication, management, economics, business and sociology.
The JSAM seeks to efficiently and promptly publish rigorous, accessible, and informing material that will help sport scholars and professionals across the world in their daily work, lifelong learning, and career development.
Articles in the social sciences are welcome, but other scholarship relevant to sport administration and management topics will be considered. All manuscripts from academics, professors, doctoral candidates, and masters candidates will receive full consideration.
The IASR is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal for undergraduate and graduate students in the social sciences. The journal is designed to provide publication opportunities in a rigorous environment for students who wish to pursue advanced degrees.
Published annually during the summer, the IASR publishes mentored research from bachelor’s- and master’s-level students enrolled in institutions of higher education across the intermountain west.
