This course covers topics topics such as truth, debate, persuasion, and addressing topics from multiple perspectives. Because of the wide-range of topics, I elected not to use a specific text book. Instead, I continuously compile resources and readings for my students. An added bonus is that fact that my students get to save money by not purchasing a text.
All that being said, the text, “The Art of Thinking: A Guide to Critical and Creative Thought” by Vincent Ryan Ruggiero greatly influenced the design of this course.
