The text that I chose to use for this course is, “Understanding Media and Culture: An Introduction to Mass Communication” by Jack Lule. This is a digital text published by Flat World Education, Inc. I found the text to be a very easy read, yet engaging at the same time. According to the author, the world did not need another introductory text in mass communication. But the world did need another kind of introductory text in mass communication, and that is how Understanding Media and Culture: An Introduction to Mass Communication was birthed.
Access to the book can be found here. Instructor access will provide you with study aids, test banks, and powerpoints. Many of the resources I have provided below were adapted from those materials.
